SUMMARY OF POSITION;
The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) is the leading global advocate for travel advisors and agencies, the travel industry, and the traveling public. ASTA’s diverse membership includes travel advisors as well as the companies whose products they sell, including airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and car rental companies. Among ASTA’s members are the country’s largest corporate travel management companies (TMCs), responsible for moving workforces and facilitating global commerce.

The Senior Manager, ASTA Corporate will drive ASTA’s expansion and influence in the corporate travel sector by strengthening industry engagement, advocacy efforts, and thought leadership. Working closely with the EVP, this role will collaborate with Travel Management Companies (TMCs), corporate travel buyers, and agencies to shape policy discussions, develop impactful programs, and execute key initiatives.

COMPENSATION:
ASTA offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities
Industry Engagement Advocacy

  • Strengthen ASTA’s engagement with corporate travel stakeholders, including TMCs, corporate travel buyers, and agencies, fostering a unified and influential voice within the industry.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison for corporate travel members, actively gathering insights on emerging industry trends, challenges, and best practices.
  • Support the development of industry reports, white papers, and advocacy materials to reinforce ASTA’s leadership in corporate travel.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and internal teams to identify growth opportunities and strategies that enhance ASTA’s corporate travel influence.
  • Assist in policy and regulatory discussions, ensuring that ASTA represents the best interests of corporate travel stakeholders.

Operational Support

  • Provide comprehensive support to the EVP, including scheduling meetings, preparing strategic reports, tracking budgets, and coordinating department activities.
  • Manage key documentation, correspondence, and records related to corporate travel initiatives, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Assist in planning and executing industry events, advisory committees, working groups, roundtables, handling logistics, agenda development, and follow-up actions.
  • Oversee the smooth execution of ASTA’s corporate travel programs and initiatives, maintaining alignment with organizational goals.

Membership Program Development

  • Support membership engagement efforts, actively assisting in recruiting and retaining corporate travel professionals within ASTA’s network.
  • Assist in creating corporate-focused programs, events, resources, and initiatives that enhance member value and drive industry impact.
  • Conduct/coordinate member research and feedback analysis to inform strategic decision-making and advocacy priorities.
  • Develop and manage content for ASTA newsletters, websites, events, and communication channels, ensuring members are informed of key developments, industry trends, and association initiatives.
