Role overview

Time Out is seeking a Account Manager to join our team. The Account Manager will work directly with the Sales and Ad Operations departments to develop and deploy strategic plans for Time Out advertising partners. By partnering with the Ad Operations department, the Account Manager will identify which platforms are best to advertise on given the company’s objectives in order to secure inventory and maximize the impact of campaigns.

 

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong internal relationships with the Ad Operations department, Creative Solutions department, Marketing department, and Finance department
  • As a stakeholder in the sales process, work closely with Sales to understand their goals and how to help achieve success.
  • Work closely with Sales Managers and Creative Solutions to understand client goals and KPIs. Develop plans that will deliver on those goals
  • Build strategic media plans and ensure that pitched media plans will work towards the client’s confirmed key KPI’s
  • Partner with Ad Operations staff to keep track of inventory pitched vs. inventory sold to ensure post-sale execution can be met and the client’s expectations are managed
  • Participate in Kick Offs to communicate the plan during post-sale via build of an internal IO, order entry into AdPoint as well as confirmation of assets needed to the client and internal campaign managers
  • Check in with internal departments to obtain performance updates and discuss possible optimization requirements
  • Seek innovative and creative ways to utilize media by reading industry resources and following trends on social channels, then distill information to the team through media plan proposals

 

Skills:

  • Be well-versed in digital, mobile, video and native as well as e-mail marketing
  • 3-4 years of media experience in the digital advertising landscape
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel both internally and externally
  • Passionate, hard-working, self-starter with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to meet short deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Four-year college degree in related field or equivalent work experience
