About You

The Senior Experiential Marketing Manager will lead strategy and ideation for experiential events and tradeshows. You have team leadership experience and will also develop strategic and impactful experiences that garner press, increase brand awareness, foster strong community relations, create influence and more. Your primary client(s) will be destination marketing organizations and you have experience in B2B and B2C activations.

As the Senior Experiential Marketing Manager, you are a specialist with knowledge of all aspects of brand partnerships and experiential marketing, including techniques to engage and excite the consumer. You understand trends, digital and experiential technologies and physical event models. You monitor industry trends, competitive landscape and social media to inform all existing materials and/or inspire the development of new partnerships and experiences. You thrive on working both methodically and creatively to bring a large number logistical elements together and are an effective and organized communicator with internal teams as well as with clients and vendors.

 

Responsibilities

Event Activations:

  • Develop and execute creative experiential marketing campaigns that drive engagement and align with brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality activations, including product launches, brand activations, and immersive experiences.
  • Manage vendor relationships, from contract negotiation to on-site coordination, ensuring flawless execution.

Meetings and Conferences:

  • Oversee the planning, logistics, and execution of corporate meetings, conferences, and industry trade shows.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to design event agendas and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage speaker schedules, panel discussions, and breakout sessions to ensure seamless event flow.
  • Implement post-event analysis to measure ROI and capture key learnings for future initiatives.

Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) Collaboration:

  • Develop strategic partnerships with DMOs to maximize destination appeal for events and activations.
  • Craft marketing strategies that highlight the unique attributes of event destinations to attract attendees and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with local businesses, tourism boards, and other entities to enhance destination-based experiences.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and oversee budgets for experiential marketing initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Track expenses and provide detailed financial reports to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, sponsors, and partners to ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event-related inquiries and feedback.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise the Experiential Marketing Manager, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and manage team performance to meet project deadlines.

Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in experiential marketing.
  • Introduce innovative solutions to enhance attendee engagement and overall event impact.

 

Qualifications:

  • A portfolio showcasing previous work in spaces is required. Applications without relevant portfolios will not qualify for the role.
  • Bonus: experience in both B2C consumer events and corporate trade shows AND/OR experience with destination marketing organizations.
  • Management and leadership experience of at least 3 years.
  • Experiential marketing experience of at least 3 years.
  • Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, creative, organized, and has a strong skill set in experiential marketing, event production and partnership modeling and programming.
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment, handle a large workflow, and be very organized and efficient with a strong ability to multitask.
  • Able to think on their feet and approach unique challenges in bold new ways.
  • Disciplined, great attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through
  • Able to oversee project budgets, including required vendor/partner contracting, to ensure adherence to scope within budget.
  • Experience managing multiple external partnerships.
  • Effective and engaging communicator, both internally and externally, can turn complex client programs into simple executions for discipline teams
  • Love for and experience in planning and project management.
  • Have a high interest in social campaigns and storytelling, some would say you are extremely savvy in all social media platforms and current trends.
  • Excellent attention to detail who will not only catch the smallest of contract nuances but will also keep several trips and projects organized alongside the rest of the team.
  • Willingness to jump in and learn as they go - as experiential marketing changes rapidly, we are looking for someone who will adapt with us.
  • High-quality standards of work product and performance
  • Ability to work successfully with coworkers and clients who have diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences
  • A background in tourism marketing is a beneficial asset but not a requirement. We are seeking candidates who have an understanding of best practices in experiential marketing from all creative and/or entertainment industries.
  • Travel requirements for this role are approx 50% of the time
